MIDA 10th Anniv. !

Kent Animation’s first original animated film "MIDA", has been released for over 10 years since its debut in 2013, marking Kent Animation’s first step towards pursuing dreams!

Since its release, "MIDA" has received numerous accolades and was invited to be screened at the 18th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea. It was also selected as a participating film in the 6th Cross-Strait Film Exhibition in Taiwan in 2014. The film’s script was recognized with the 100 Years Golden Harvest Award for Outstanding Script and was nominated at the 16th Taipei Film Festival for the animated film category.

In addition to the film, a manga adaptation with the same title was also released, showcasing the studio’s willingness to explore different media forms for creative expression. Furthermore, Kent Animation boldly experimented with cross-media collaborations, holding a virtual floating projection concert at FF22 and releasing an original single.

Behind these honors the effort of a group of colleagues and collaborating partners. The memories of every detail during the production process and the interactions among our colleagues remain vivid in our minds. Looking back, we acknowledge that perhaps our techniques and production processes were not yet fully mature, but we never stopped striving for improvement. Following "MIDA," Kent Animation continued to develop animated series and films, including works like "Taichi Cats" "Bearstar" "The Sound of Sea Burning" and "Monster Fruit Academy". In every aspect of the production process, we have shown clear growth and progress, and it all began with "MIDA".

We extend special thanks to all our partners who have worked together with us throughout this journey.
